The last time CO2 levels were this high the average temperature was about 10℃ warmer than it is today. The reason this didn’t cause a runaway spiralling temperature increase is that back then the Sun was about 2% cooler and the Earth’s orbital cycles were different. Global volcanic eruptions emit less than 1% of what humans currently do.

Worth noting, On a standard (non-renewable) UK tariff, electricity has a slightly higher carbon footprint per unit than gas, and a gas boiler loses some heat through the exhaust flue, so the gas hob is more efficient!
